Our Top 5…
Skiing in the Three ValleysLa Tania is a part of the Three Valleys and has popular neighbours; Courchevel and Meribel. It’s a low purpose built French resort that sits perfectly in a pretty woodland setting, offering unique views.
La Tania is often known as a “no car” centre and a perfect family resort with skiing great for beginners with long runs through woods to the village. However, the Three Valleys is easily accessible if you want to spend a day or two over in Courchevel or Meribel.
Everything in One PlaceLa Tania is a relatively small place so you can pretty much walk around the village in 5 minutes and explore the local amenities it has to offer. There is a tourist office, four ski hire shops so you’re all set for the mountains and a new crèche facility.
A gondola sits at one end of the village which leads up into the slopes and you can ski back close to where you’re staying. A free bus also runs between the Three Valley’s resorts so those who aren’t keen on skiing can explore other areas and activites.
Magic in Motion – Ski SchoolIf it’s your first time on the slopes, Magic in Motion offers a professional learning experience so you can get the absolute best out of your skiing trip.
They provide a fantastic selection of group ski and snowboard lessons for both children and adults, as well as private lessons and off piste sessions if you’re really looking to develop your skills and gain techniques. Feel free to send us your videos on the slopes and let us know how your trip was!
Activities off The SlopesOff the slope activities are not too far away either, with snowshoeing, tobogganing, dog sledding, paragliding and many more available to experience the slopes in a different way.
We suggest snowshoeing for a nice, slow paced journey which gives you the opportunity to really take in the views throughout the resort but if you’re up for something more exciting, snowmobiling and paragliding will give you such a thrill. These activities can be booked by visiting your resort’s tourist office.
Ideal Family Ski TripBeing a traffic free resort, this alone makes it safer for children and easier for families to enjoy some peace and quiet. Le Ski runs it’s own nursery in the resort and a kindergarten is also available that takes children from four months to five years old.
The beginners area, most suited for children on their first ski trip is very close to the village, so you can all practice skiing and boarding and consider exploring more resorts within the Three Valleys.
