Linked with the resort of La Thuile in Italy, La Rosiere has plenty of sun, pistes to suit any type of skier and activities to keep you active.

Compared to it’s neighbours; Val d’Isere-Tignes and Les Arcs, La Rosiere is smaller and quieter with lots more sun. With traditional mountain architecture gracing the resort, fine panoramic views and the option for cross border skiing, there are many opportunities to be adventurous and quickly master the slopes.

Espace San Bernardo

Boasting 160km of slopes and the opportunity to ski from France to Italy, it’s one thing that needs to be on your bucket list.

The French side is more suitable for beginners whereas the slopes around La Thuile are more for the advanced skiers. The slopes rise to 2641m where you can take a 11km ride back down to La Thuile.

A single ski pass gains access to the 160km of slopes and with the outstanding snow cover from the beginning of December to April, we think a trip like this would be difficult to say no to. Make sure you explore the French and Italian Alps!

Friendly & Laid Back Village

La Rosiere is close to Val d’Isère, Tignes and Les Arcs but it has a completely different personality. It’s quite smaller and quieter than most resorts, instead of lively ski bars and restaurants. Check out our ski guide for La Rosiere.

With it being a quiet and more family orientated resort, what’s most appealing is that everything is convenient and bars, restaurants and shops are only a short walk away, so your legs will be thankful after spending days up in the mountains.

Be sure to check out Caffè Latte; a cosy restuarants bar which serve breakfast and lunch as well as Le Plan du Repos, a charming restaurant that serves some great dishes.

The Accommodation

La Rosiere is full of great self catered and catered chalets and apartments, all which are able to fulfil your needs whether you’re planning a ski trip for 4 or 15.

A catered chalet at first glance may seem more than self catered, but the investment in a catered chalet means you don’t have to worry about cooking or eating out every day and night and you can be pretty much stress free.

Our Chalet Epilobe is only a 50 metre walk away from the Les Eucherts 6 seater express chairlift and is one of the closest catered chalets in La Rosiere to the slopes. Our other catered chalets include Chalet Valeriane and our fabulous Penthouse Chalet.

Ski to Italy!

I think we can all agree that French cuisine is good but Italian cuisine appears to be better priced over on the La Thuile side of the mountain.

An Italian mountain restaurant we urge you visit is La Grotta and this can be easily reached by a minibus. Lo Riondet provides a fantastic lunch in front of an open fire in cosy chalet style surroundings so it’s sure to be memorable.

If you’re going to stick on the French side, pop over to L’Ancolie and Le Relais du Petit-St-Bernard which is situated at the foot of the pistes! Ski your way over to Italy for a light lunch before heading back to your chalet, it’s a must!

Ski School
