Our Top 5…
Tree Lined RunsThe trees lining the pistes make Montalbert the best place to go out skiing when the weather has closed in. You can take the gentle blues that cut through the trees which make it easier to see the pistes. The slopes are covered by a network of snow cannons so runs back to your chalet are what you make of them!
Montalbert is a solid choice if you’re up for alternative activities such as snowshoeing or dog sledding, as the sheltered tree lined slopes keep the pistes open for as long as possible.
New Les Envers Lift NOTICE: The Les Envers lift was opened and worked for a time but closed in 2018 after safety issues were discovered. It is now fully functional and working as of the start of the 19/20 ski season. The Envers chairlift features modern top and bottom stations with a fantastic pyramid design. It looks quite impressive and futuristic, as well as increasing efficiency and reducing the long queues skiers had to wait in earlier in the year because of delays.
The run down to the new Les Envers lift offers a network of wooded pistes to explore and get some shelter on a snowy day.
Make your way to Les ArcsLes Arcs is made up of four modern resorts and the village resorts are built in two sectors, Arc 1950 and 2000 in one sector and Arc 1600, 1800 in another which are located lower down. The Paradiski area pass gets you access to all of La Plagne, and Les Arc. The slopes offer long descents and steep slopes to keep the more advanced skiers happy, but for beginners there are plenty of varied slopes, on and off piste.
It also includes numerous play areas such as freestyle runs, toboggan runs and snow parks. It even has a run where you can discover the local flora and fauna! The impresive cable car, the Vanoise Express takes you back to La Plagne.
