The Three Valleys

The Three Valleys or Les Trois Vallees is the largest ski area in the world and holds the most stunning scenery and skiing. It consists of many world class resorts, including the popular resorts; Meribel, Courchevel and La Tania, as well as Val Thorens, Les Menuires, St Martin de Belleville, La Praz and Moriond.

Meribel is situated in the middle Valley, with Courchevel and La Tania on one side, and Val Thorens on the other with other villages in between and all around. As an Alpine winter holiday destination that has it all, the Three Valleys are quite frankly in a league of their own. The ski area and its resorts offer a vast array of winter activities and accommodation that ranges from low cost apartments and quality catered chalets up to super-luxury hotels and chalets. To top that off, we are all aware snow conditions can affect our ski trips, right? But with four glaciers to take your pick from and enormous snowmaking capacity, you can expect there to be good snow most places for the vast majority of any ski season.

With endless groomed snow both friendly and challenging the Three Valleys is home to over 600km of varying pistes (depending on how you measure it) and over 200 lifts. Skiers get to experience the breathtaking backdrops of mountains while drifting through the snow at a rate that suits them best. And if you thrive on challenges and enjoy the thrill of skiing at a fast pace, the Grand Couloir run in Courchevel is said to be one of the scariest in Europe! When you head into Three Valleys, make sure you spend at least one afternoon dancing at the Folie Douce and visit Meribel’s most popular bar ‘Jacks Bar’. The Pub Le Ski Lodge in La Tania offers great evening entertainment and cuisine.

The French Alps provide an unforgettable skiing experience and is greatly suited for beginners, intermediates and expert skiers. If you’re not too sure which resort to choose from, we’ll try to make it easier for you.
