New La Plagne Montalbert ski lift open

Notice: The Les Envers lift did not open as planned for the 18/19 season, technical difficulties delayed its opening. We can confirm the Les Envers Chairlift is now open and has been working since the start of the 19/20 season.

Back in our article in June 2016 we were pleased to announce two new chairlifts would be coming to La Plagne. The Les Envers lift would speed the connection between the ski accommodation in La Plagne Montalbert and the rest of the ski area above.

We’d hoped it would be open far earlier but a series of delays meant we had to wait a little bit longer for an upgraded ski lift!

The good news is that it opened in late July & there’s a brand new speedy chairlift ready for next season in one of our favourite resorts, La Plagne Montalbert.

The run down to the new Les Envers lift offers a network of wooded pistes to explore and get some shelter on a snowy day. This is great news for Mountain Heaven guests in the resort who’ll find exploring the piste all the more convenient but also for all visitors to the La Plagne ski area who fancy coasting through some pleasant red & blue runs in the trees.

Maybe you don’t know La Plagne very well, why not check out this La Plagne resort guide and find out why we like it so.

There are many article about the Envers lift. However last week 20th to 27th January 2018 the lift was not open. Information around th resort said it was awaiting certification. Surely you should ensure your customers are updated on this.

Hi Claire, thanks for the comment. We believe the Les Envers lift will be opening in December. It did have some open time at the end of last season. It’s been such a bumpy start for this new lift that we don’t feel we can guarantee it will be running this season. If we get some firm news we will aim to announce it through our social media posts but even then we’ll have to take it with a pinch of salt. Sorry we can’t be more definitive and thanks again for reading.
