Courchevel has five different base resorts and most people, including us, rate the traditional village of Le Praz as the prettiest by far. Our beautiful detached Chalet Emilie is our flagship property here, built to order by our friends is their pride and joy. You won’t find better. Built to a traditional wooden Alpine style outside, its bespoke interior is chic and contemporary, boasting a luxurious spa with sauna, steam room and indoor hot tub (shared with the next door chalet) together with its own private outdoor hot tub. There’s an elegant open plan living room with a grand log fire as a centre piece leading to a stylish dining area and bar and the four bedrooms each boast ultra-smart en-suites.

Chalet Emilie is located in Le Praz the prettiest and most charismatic village in Courchevel. It is tucked away down a private drive yet close to the telecabin and newly installed express chairlift giving you fast and easy access to the magnificent 3 Valleys Domain. You can ski back to within 100 metres of the chalet along a winding forest piste. The village centre is a few minutes' walk from the chalet and has narrow winding cobbled streets traditional village shops, renowned restaurants and après ski bars. If you want even more choice of bars and restaurants a free shuttle bus runs from Le Praz to Courchevel 1850

We do not accept babies under 2 in any shared chalets; you will have to book a whole chalet. For any babies above the maximum occupancy there will be a charge of £100 per baby plus any additional private transfer costs if applicable. Please note we do not provide any baby food, fresh milk or due to hygiene rules we do not provide any baby bed linen, towels for babies etc, but we do provide travel cots and high chairs
Unoccupied beds - If you occupy a double/twin room by yourself unfortunately we have to charge the empty bed at the full rate less £100.
If any extra children / adults are added to the chalet to take the booking to more than 8 people then an extra charge of 60% of the adult price will be added per child together with the extra charges for a private transfer, please contact us for details

Food & wine
We believe the quality of meals to be as important as the winter sports experience and so our budget for food and wine for each guest is generous. We provide delicious home cooked food in all of our catered chalets for everyone to enjoy.
For breakfast you can eat as much as you like, every day you will start with a choice of a cooked breakfasts (bacon, egg, baked beans, tomato & mushrooms), fresh fruit, cereals, muesli, local bread, jams and marmalades, hot porridge, fruit yogurts, fruit juices together with croissants and pain au chocolat on selected days etc, together with fresh tea and coffee. On one day chalet hosts day off this will be simple cold self-service.
In the afternoon when you return from the slopes you will be greeted by freshly baked home made cakes and fresh tea, coffee and hot chocolate
Dinner is a delicious 5 course meal starting off with Canapés and a pre-dinner drink followed by the meal with free flowing bottles of red, white or rose wine from the beginning to the end of the meal.
Portobello mushroom, filled with stilton and walnuts, served on a bed bed of crisp leaves
Fresh fanned melon garni, topped with strips of parma ham, drizzled with blackcurrant coulis
Celeriac Soup with a roquefort crouton
Brushetta topped with a sweet red onion marmalade and goats cheese, served on a bed of rocket with a balsamic vinegar reduction
Roasted pepper and tomato soup with a crispy bacon garnish
Thai Style seafood and noodle broth
Classic Chicken Chasseur, served with duchesse potatoes, buttered carrot batons, and asparagas spears
Morrocan Lamb Tagine, served with a spiced chickpea cous-cous and mediterranean vegeatbles
Pork Loin, with a cider and apple sauce, dauphinoise potatoes, harricot vert and spiced red cabbage
Roasted Duck Breast, with a port and redcurrant reduction, pilau rice and french style peas
Poached Salmon topped with a garlic and herb crust, served on a bed of buttered linguini, accomapnied by a cauliflower and broccoli gratin
Chicken and Spinach Roulade, with a sundried tomato cream, served with sauteed courgette ribbons and buttered new potatoes
Crumble of the week served with creme anglaise
Trio of desserts: Sticky toffee pudding, Fruit sorbet and chocolate dipped stawberries
Pear and almond strudel served with vanilla icecream
Chocolate and hazelbut mousse

Our delicious wines are selected from France through the fantastic Le Verre Gourmand. A selection of red, white and rose wine has been handpicked for you to complement your meal and your taste buds. Here is the list of our fabulous wines for this season:
Domaine Horgelus Colombard Sauvignon 2014
The delicious combination of Colombard and Sauvignon wine offers here a pleasure , a sublime expression of the fruit of these two grape varieties grown in Gascony. Tastes like… Notes of white flowers, citrus and exotic fruits, which continue into the palate finishing with a light and crisp freshness.
Picpoul Cuvée Caroline 2014
Cuvée Caroline has been specially blended to be a gastronomic wine, with the body and balance that is perfect to accompany seafood and fish dishes. Bright and pale yellow wine with very fresh aromas of white flowers, acacia and hawthorn; fresh and saline palate but with a slight roundness for a Picpoul. This is a “gourmet” Picpoul.
Les Roitilières Muscadet 2013
This Muscadet is a white wine which is fresh and dry with sweet aromas which charms anyone who drinks it and accompanies many different dishes. Beautiful golden colour, this is an elegant and fresh wine with aromas of citron and minerality. Look for notes of soft pears on the palate with element s of freshness.
This is a great modern-style red blend from the South of France - full of juicy red and black fruit flavours, alongside a spot of spice and warmth. It's not too heavy, so it will work best alongside slightly lighter red meat dishes - or even poultry. The addition of 10% Cabernet Sauvignon to the Grenache and Carignan gives the wine just a bit more ooomph, while retaining its easygoing character.
Fico Grande Sangiovese
Fruity, delicious and easy-drinking. The name is a tribute to the extraordinary fig tree which dominates the vineyard where the grapes for this wine are grown. Fruity, medium-bodied and savoury with its characteristic cherry and violet aromas. It is a wine for everyday drinking with its soft and delicate tannins.
Marquis de la Coronne Côtes du Rhône 2013
With a brilliant and intense colour, this wine doesn’t disappoint. A nose of blackcurrants and blackberries is accompanied by strong hints of spice, pepper and herbs. This fresh, bright and juicy Côtes-du-Rhône shows all the classic Rhône notes of dark berry fruits and spice—particularly pepper and Provencal herbs such as rosemary.
Mas du Canal Rose
For refreshing, pale, dry, yet crisply fruity rose, look no further than this wine from the south of France. It is delightfully fresh and zingy on the palate, with bright red fruits (redcurrants, raspberries) lighting things up. It is seriously thirst-quenching stuff
Bel Star Prosecco
This delicious sparkling wine comes from the Veneto region of northeast Italy. It is soft, fruity and refreshing sparkling wine with citrus, pear and floral flavours and aromas. Fresh apple and pear aromas with a hint of blossom. Medium-bodied with citrus fruit, creamy mousse and a fresh, clean finish. From the beautiful Valdobbiadene region, the Bisol family are masters of Prosecco and have been making wine for centuries. All the grapes come their own land which is something extremely rare in the region.
Please note that wherever possible we will take note of allergies and avoid the use of nuts etc. however we cannot guarantee that ingredients are free of nuts and other foods that you may be allergic to. In addition the food preparation area, pans and utencils etc. may have been used for dishes with nuts and other food that you may be allergic to.
Children's High Tea
For children we offer a High Tea served at 6pm which includes:
Beef Bourguignon served with Mashed potato, Broccoli, Carrots followed by Mouse au Chocolat for pudding
Tartiflette served with Baby tomatoes and cucumber and Orange Cheesecake for pudding
Spaghetti Bolognaise with hidden vegetables and French Apple tarte with vanilla ice cream for pudding
Chicken Burger with Carrot sticks and Chocolate Cornflake cakes to follow
Turkey Goujons served with Potato Wedges, Baked Beans and Crepes to follow
Salmon Fish Fingers served with Parmentier Potatoes and peas with Chocolate fondue with marshmallows for pudding
Chalet Hosts Night Off
One day a week the chalet hosts have a much deserved rest. Breakfast is self-service. The evening is a chance to sample the Savoyard cuisine and our chalet hosts will be pleased to recommend and book a restaurant for you.
