Grimentz
Grimentz is a picturesque village of classic timber chalets,
which, along with a cluster of neighbouring villages, makes up part
of the Anniviers municipality. Located in the Pennine Alps, a range
of mountains in the south western part of Switzerland, Grimentz
benefits from a high altitude ski area, ensuring it remains snow
secure throughout the season.
Grimentz is a rare oasis of unspoilt beauty, bristling with
quaint, traditional chalets that best show off the cosy charm of a
Swiss Alpine village to its fullest extent. With narrow, cobbled
streets threading their way around the village, Grimentz really is
an enchanting sight to behold.
Grimentz also offers spectacular views across the valley floor
as well as of the surrounding Pennines, including the peaks of the
Nadelhorn and the impressive, pyramid-faced Matterhorn, and the
shimmering, dramatic spectacle of the Moiry Glacier.
