Welcome to Mountain Heaven
Catered ski chalets and ski resorts in La Rosiere
For our luxury catered holidays we have probably the best chalet in La Rosière, which is one of the best ski resort in the French Alps, being on the border to France and Italy and with great high altitude skiing. La Rosière is part of the large Espace San Bernardo, being linked to La Thuile in Italy. The vast majority of the skiing is above 1850m ensuring great snow conditions with the highest on-piste skiing is at 2640m and the resort is renowned as having the sunniest slopes in the Tarantaise, but also the snowiest.
La Rosière has won the accolade of Famille Plus Montagne which is only awarded to resorts who specialise in welcoming families and their children. There are lots of events throughout the season and non skiers have marked walks and can try ice skating together with bowling and a trip to the fitness centre with saunas, Jacuzzi etc, There is also a cinema in the village that shows English films and non skiers can browse in the shops in the main centre of La Rosière.
Except for the chalet staffs night off you will really only eat out on the slopes and you can choose to eat in France or in Italy! For your evening out, there are over a dozen restaurants in La Rosière, serving very reasonably priced meals ranging from pizzas to Savoyard specialties to gourmet food. Our chalet hosts will, if required, make the bookings for you on their night off and we have copies of the menus in the chalet so you can preview them. La Rosière also has a range of bars for après-ski including the well known ‘Petit Danois’, and there is also a nightclub in the village which is open to 4am.
We have chosen the Penthouse as your luxury chalet as it has every comfort you could want with 6 en-suite bedrooms, large beamed living room with fireplace and massive floor to ceiling picture windows together with a hot tub. The stunning chalet is in the Les Eucherts area of La Rosière at a height of 1850m and it’s in the perfect location being in a very quiet area with uninterrupted views over the valley but only 200m away from the main chairlift and only 150m away from the brand new ice skating rink and bowling alley. Once you enter the Penthouse with the exception of skiing you really won’t want to leave it!
We believe the quality of cooking to be just as important as the skiing experience and we ensure that you will receive fresh quality food of the highest standard. Every day you will start with a hearty breakfast. In the afternoon when you return from the slopes you will be greeted by freshly baked cakes and fresh tea, coffee and hot chocolate. And in the evening dinner starts with an aperitif and followed by a delicious 4 course meal with a choice of quality red and white bottled wines.
La Rosière - The Village
The village of La Rosière is a well-kept French secret. A purpose built resort, it has a rustic Savoyard feel with low rise chalet-style accommodation. The area is known for the famous St Bernard dogs which can still be found in the resort today.
